Where To Stay In London

London is my absolute favorite city in the world and if you've spent any time there, you'll know exactly why.

I always say, you could live your entire life in London and still not see everything. There are infinite things to see and do and every borough has its own unique identity. There are constantly new bars, restaurants and hotels popping up all over the city. On my recent trip to London, I've had the pleasure of staying at some of the most fantastic hotels the city has to offer. Just when I thought my love affair for the Big Smoke couldn't grow any further, it most definitely has.

The Curtain

Located in the heart of of Shoreditch (my favorite area) you'll find this Five-Star wonder. One of the best perks of staying here, is getting to enjoy all of their members only spaces. From a co-working rooftop bar, to their wellness centre and undergound club. You'll never want to leave.

Did I mention they have a heated rooftop pool... that you can swim in even when it's snowing?!

The rooms have it all. A full bar...not just mini bar (that's there too)... no, an actual bar for your relaxing pleasure. The bathroom is a marble dream complete with your own private steam shower!

The rooms have got that New York warehouse vibe down, with all the extras. Complete with exposed brick, a king size bed and Marshall speakers (which you can take home for a fee). If you're in London and looking for that cool luxury feel, without being pretentious, I highly recommend staying at The Curtain!

The Lalit London

When you think of London, you will undoubtedly think of the London Tower Bridge, which happens to be only steps away from the Lalit London. I'm so excited I found this hotel and had the opportunity to stay here. It is such a beautifully unique hotel with nods to both Indian and traditional British in equal measure. Originally a grammar school, you'll find your room being called a classroom and the bar the Teacher's Room. From my "classroom" I was even lucky enough to have a view of the London Shard. Each room is impeccably designed with massive windows letting you enjoy the views just beyond. Complete with comfy robes, slippers and stocked mini bar. Who needs to explore London with a room like this?

Within the hotel you will find the stunning Baluchi restaurant. Keeping in theme, it is located in the Great Hall of the former grammar school and it does not disappoint!

Fantastically designed, each piece of their breathtaking chandeliers were shipped in from India. It is such an incredible space like no other in London. Here they offer a contemporary take on traditional Indian food led masterfully by Chef Jomon Kuriakose, who even takes the time to come out and speak to each table. Order EVERYTHING. You'll miss out if you don't. It's so delicious!

Staying at The Lalit London is such a unique experience and one that is not to be missed. Their motto is #PureLove and you will definitely feel it when you are there. Everyone is so lovely! Is it too soon to go back?

The Hoxton, Shoreditch

What can I say about staying at the ultra cool Hoxton in Shoreditch? I guess, just that... you'll feel ultra cool. One walk into their lobby (which doubles as the lounge/bar/restaurant) you'll know it's the place to be. Day and night it's the place to sit with your laptop, or catch up with friends... or both.

The rooms are no less cool. Filled with witty remarks and signs throughout the room, you'll find yourself giggling at the emergency exit sign. When you walk in, the music is already playing on your vintage radio and setting the mood. Cozy bed, gorgeous bathroom, perfect location? Check, check annnd check.

Each night fill out a paper bag and each morning awake to breakfast hanging outside your door. Does it get any better? If you're in London, even if for only a night, you'll miss out if you don't stay at the Hoxton.
